A Little About Mindy Harrison, LCSW

Mrs. Harrison has more than 12 years of experience in social work and family services. In addition to providing forensic mental health services such as parenting facilitation, social study evaluations, and counseling she also works as an Intake Family Therapist at a local children's hospital. As a Family Therapist in the psychiatry department, she completes mental health assessments on children in crisis and makes recommendations on interventions to assist in their stabilization. She also provides family therapy, conducts group therapy sessions, provides telephone triage, and provides community resources to families in crisis.

Prior to private practice Mrs. Harrison was the co-owner of Alliance Counseling and Education Center where she taught Love and Logic Parenting and Children in the Middle classes. Mrs. Harrison has worked as a Social Worker in various settings including Baylor Medical Center at Irving, Parkland Hospital, All Church Home for Children, and Child Protective Services. Mrs. Harrison has received training in family mediation.

Mrs. Harrison currently holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
